At Embroidery Inc, you see exactly how your logo will look on the real item before we produce your order. Instead of a digital mockup, we stitch a real physical sample on your actual hat or garment and send it to you for approval. Most embroidery shops can't tell you whether your design will actually work at embroidery size — we show you.
How does custom embroidery at Embroidery Inc work?
- You order online. Choose your item, the placement, and upload your logo or design.
- We digitize your logo. Our team converts your artwork into an embroidery file built for thread, not pixels.
- We stitch a real sample. Within 24–48 business hours (Monday–Friday, 9–5 Pacific), we sew a real stitch-out of your logo on the actual item.
- You approve it. We send you the real sample so you can see exactly how it looks. You approve it or send changes — nothing goes to production until you're happy.
- We produce and ship. After your approval, your full order ships in 3–5 business days.
What is a stitch-out sample?
A stitch-out is your logo actually embroidered onto the real product — the same hat or garment you ordered, sewn on the same machines that will run your production. It is not a computer rendering or a digital preview. It shows the true thread colors, the real texture, and how fine details hold up at the actual size, so there are no surprises when your order arrives.
Why do you send a real sample instead of a digital mockup?
A digital mockup shows what a design looks like on a screen. It cannot tell you whether small text will be legible, whether thin lines will disappear, or whether a detailed logo will turn into a blur of thread once it's stitched. A real stitch-out answers all of that before you commit to a full run. This matters most on small areas — the front of a hat is only about 2.4 inches tall, which is far less room than most people expect.
Why do AI-generated logos often fail on embroidery?
AI design tools create beautiful, highly detailed logos — tiny text, gradients, fine lines, realistic objects like cars or buildings. Those details look great on a screen, but embroidery is made of physical thread, and thread has limits. Details that are too small or too fine cannot be reproduced cleanly at embroidery size, especially on a hat front. That's exactly why our stitch-out step exists: you see the real result and can simplify the design before producing a whole order you're not happy with.
How long does custom embroidery take?
You receive your real stitch-out sample within 24–48 business hours (Monday–Friday, 9–5 Pacific). Once you approve it, your full order ships in 3–5 business days.
Frequently asked questions
Do I see my logo before you make the whole order?
Yes. We stitch a real physical sample on the actual item and send it to you for approval. Production only starts after you approve.
Is the sample a photo or a digital preview?
Neither. It's your logo actually embroidered on the real product, so you see the true colors, texture, and detail.
What if the sample doesn't look right?
You send us your changes and we adjust before anything goes to production. The approval step is there so you only pay for a result you're happy with.
How fast will I get my order?
The stitch-out sample comes within 24–48 business hours (M–F, 9–5 Pacific). After approval, the full order ships in 3–5 business days.
Can you embroider a detailed or AI-generated logo?
Often we can simplify it so it works beautifully at embroidery size. The stitch-out shows you exactly how it translates to thread, and we'll guide you on any adjustments needed for small areas like a hat front.
