The Best Blank Trucker Hats for Custom Embroidery (2026 Lineup)

Benjamin B. |

Last updated: August 2026. By Ben B., founder of Embroidery Inc, Woodland CA. Every hat below is a blank we physically stock and embroider daily; prices are our live listings with the embroidery included, current as of August 2026. Stock check done the day this was written, so nothing here is a hat you cannot actually buy.

A trucker hat is the easiest canvas in custom headwear: structured front panels that hold a logo flat, mesh back that keeps it wearable in July. But blanks are not interchangeable. Crown height, front material and closure change how your logo sits and who the hat fits. Here is the lineup we actually run on our machines, ranked by what each one is best at.

The quick picks

  • The default, and still the king: Richardson 112 ($20). If you are not sure, it is the 112.
  • Retro look on a budget: Yupoong 6606 ($20).
  • Smaller faces, lower crown: Richardson 115 ($20).
  • Daily wearers, fitted feel: Richardson 110 ($22).
  • Stand out in a room of 112s: Richardson 168 7-panel ($23) or the 511 flatbill ($27.50).
  • The golf-and-boat crowd: Richardson 355 rope cap ($28.75).

The lineup in detail

How to choose in 60 seconds

Match the crown to the logo. Wide or text-heavy logos want the taller panel of the 112, 6606 or 511. Compact, bold marks sit happily on the low-crown 115, 111 and 355. Match the closure to the people: snapbacks fit almost everyone (roughly 6 7/8 to 7 5/8 per our size chart); the 110's flex band suits daily wearers when you know rough sizes. The full closure logic is in trucker vs Flexfit vs fitted. Match the front to the finish: foam and twill structured fronts all take flat embroidery cleanly, and every structured mid or high crown here handles 3D puff. On the perforated 355, we keep designs in the solid front zone, which is exactly the kind of thing your sewn proof confirms before production.

A note on what is NOT in this list

Two honest omissions. Foam-front classics (the gas-station trucker look) are not in our current lineup, and one camo variant we carry was out of stock on the day this was written, so it is not recommended here. This list only contains hats you can order today; that is the point of it. When the lineup changes, this page gets updated, which is what the date at the top is for.

FAQ

What is the best blank trucker hat for embroidery overall?

The Richardson 112. Structured mid-profile front that holds any logo, one-size snapback that fits most adults, dozens of colorways, $20 with the embroidery included. It is the best-selling custom hat in America for a reason.

Richardson 112 or Yupoong 6606?

Same price, same job, different silhouette: the 112 runs squarer, the 6606 rounder and more retro. Logo size and stitch quality are identical on both.

Can rope caps be embroidered?

Yes. On the Richardson 355 we place designs in the solid front zone above the rope, and the sewn proof shows you the placement on the real hat before the order runs.

Are these blanks in stock or ordered after I buy?

In stock, physically, at our Woodland, California shop. That is why the proof comes in 24 to 48 hours and orders ship 3 to 5 business days after approval.

Pick your blank from the trucker collection or see every hat's price. One hat minimum, which is to say: none.
